UPDATE: Nov. 26, 2022, 5:40 p.m. EST This story has been updated to reflect the latest Cyber Weekend Apple Watch pricing and availability.

  • BEST OVERALL DEAL: The Apple Watch Series 7 (45mm, GPS) offers a very similar experience to the Series 8 at a more affordable price — $309.99 $379 at Target (save $119.01)

  • BEST NEW GEN DEAL: The Apple Watch Series 8 (41mm, GPS) may not reinvent the wheel, but keeps a good thing going and adds temperature sensors and crash detection into the mix — $349 $399 at Amazon and Walmart (save $50)

  • BEST BUDGET PICK: The Apple Watch SE (40mm, GPS) may not have all the health monitoring features, but it's a great affordable pick for the casual smartwatch user — $229 $249 at Amazon (save $20) 🔥

As a gift or as a little treat for yourself, the Apple Watch is a popular wearable for a reason. Though this demand means it can be tricky to snag one for a good discount, there are times when a significant portion of the price gets shaved off, and you can find yourself the proud new owner of a smart watch, for $100 cheaper than its MSRP.

Cyber Weekend is exactly one of those times.

We'd be remiss not to acknowledge that Apple Watches have already seen some pretty hefty discounts this fall shopping season. The Series 8 was on sale for $50 off during the Prime Early Access Sale at Amazon and Walmart, just one month after it was officially released. The Series 7 has taken some deep price dips over the year, too (though it might get harder to find as the Series 8 takes hold as its replacement).

Sales have ramped back up for Black Friday, with plenty of all-time lows found at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target. We want you to make the most of these Apple Watch savings, so we'll be keeping this page updated with all the deals worth knowing about.

Note: All newly added deals have been marked with a ✨. Anything with a strikeout was either sold out or no longer available at the sale price as of this writing, and anything marked with a 🔥 has dropped to an all-time low price. Be sure to check back often — we're updating this page constantly.

Apple Watch Series 8 deals

Why we like it

The Series 8 has returned to its all-time Prime Early Access Sale low for Cyber Weekend. That'll save you $50 on one of Apple's latest smartwatches that comes loaded with a brand new temperature sensor and crash detection (in addition to the ECG sensor, blood oxygen monitor, and always-on display you know and love). If you're interested in having your choice of all available colors, we recommend checking out Target's deal.

Apple Watch Series 7 deals

Why we like it

If you're not dying to have the crash detection or temperature sensors of the Series 8 (we wouldn't blame you in the latter case), the Series 7 offers nearly identical features, with the same battery life, ECG sensors, and blood oxygen monitoring. Though you're slightly limited on color options, that means you can also grab a larger 45mm screen for a much lower price.

Apple Watch SE deals

Why we like it

Our former top pick had the 44mm SE at just $240, which made it an even lower price than the 40mm's list price. Unfortunately, it's gone back up to $259 pretty much everywhere — still $20 off and still a pretty decent deal, but not maybe not worth the extra $30 from the 40mm SE's $229 price, which gives you the same experience feature-wise, just on a slightly smaller screen.

In either case, it's worth remembering that as Apple's budget model, the SE provides a pretty basic experience — that means no blood oxygen or ECG sensors. Still, you get the same S8 chip as you would in the Series 8 and 18 hours of battery life, making it a great and affordable pick for the casual smartwatch user.

Frequently Asked Questions

Based on price alone, Apple's former reigning budget-friendly option was the Series 3. Already this shopping season, we've seen the 38mm model drop to $149. The Series 3, however, was also discontinued with the launch of the second generation SE in September.

Admittedly, discontinuation isn't a death sentence to a watch's usability — technically, the Series 7 is also discontinued as it's no longer sold on Apple's website, but the functional differences between it and the Series 8 are relatively minor. The reason that the Series 3 discontinuation knocks it out of our running of affordable contenders is that its features are wildly outdated and it'll no longer support the latest watchOS updates.

What the Series 3 had going for it in the five years since its release was its price, with a starting MSRP of $199. However, early sales have brought us the more upgraded first-gen SE to $209, which could dip even lower as Black Friday draws nearer. If you want to get an even better future-proofed alternative, spending just $40 more puts you at the starting price of the 40mm second-gen SE, which runs the same processor as the Series 8 (making it 20% faster than its predecessor) and includes updated safety features like crash detection.

On sale, the price difference between the first and second generations gets even smaller, making the most obvious recommendation for a budget-conscious pick the second-gen SE, but if you don't want to spring the extra $30 to $40, the first-gen SE will do just fine, too.

If you don't spend all your time tracking the prices of Apple Watches at various retailers (there are better hobbies out there), you might be surprised to learn that you can score pretty decent discounts on Apple Watches year-round.

With that said, the steepest discounts you'll see during the year will usually resemble, if not outright match, Black Friday season lows. That's right — we recommend grabbing your Apple Watches not just on the official day, but in the lead-up sales too, as they do include some pretty impressive markdowns. Case in point: the Apple Watch Series 8, which just came out in September, was $50 off during the week of Nov. 14.
